The American chocolatier Brimfield's Fine Confections produces a number of chocolate covered products, this one is dark chocolate cover crystallized ginger pieces. I've seen various nuts and other fruits covered either with dark or milk chocolate. I picked this one, as it was dark chocolate, and it contains another of my favourites, ginger. The cacao content is 70%, and the ingredient listing is fairly good, the ones at the bottom of the list are not so good, but are in smaller quantities; dark chocolate (made from chocolate liquor, sugar, cocoa butter, soy lecithin and vanilla), ginger, sugar, corn syrup, gum Arabic and shellac (confectioner's glaze).

How do they taste? The combination of ginger and chocolate is not for everyone, my beautiful Bride does not care so much for it, but I like it. I don't know that I could buy these again, as I don't really have a reliable source for them.

I love Brimfield's dark chocolate covered wafers but don't know where to get them. Would you have a contact number for Brimfield's?
Sandi,
I bought these at Home Sense in Canada, sort of a close-out place, they were there for Christmas 2007. I have read that you can find them the odd time at certain stores in the States, TJMaxx for one. I don't recall there being a website or contact information on the packaging, usually I include at least the website information, if I have it. Sorry I couldn't be more help, but I'll keep my eye out if I see them again (they weren't there this year at Home Sense or Winners).
I purchased the dark chocolate almonds from marshall's. I am not even a fan of chocolate but this brand was so delicious that I am going crazy trying to find it online again now. I returned to the marshall's again and didn't see anymore the last time I was there. I guess I will have to keep hunting. The box does say as far as contact info www.nassaucandy.com but that website was not too helpful. Good luck!
