Lindt Outlet Store in Kitchener

My sister told me about the new Lindt Outlet Store in Kitchener opened up before Christmas, it's located at 4500 King East, or, more specifically, south of Pioneer Sportsworld, north of Chapters, in a little strip mall. We went there last weekend, being in the area, it seems to have similar savings of Lindt products.

King's Vegetarian Food

My beautiful Bride had know about King's Café, a vegetarian restaurant, with an outlet on Augusta Ave. in Toronto, and others in the Maritimes, but they are part of a larger family of food companies, including Zen Gardens restaurants, with many outlets including one in Mississauga; The King's Tea Inc., seller of many fine Chinese teas (which are also sold at Zen Gardens) under the name of Zen Tea; and King's Vegetarian Food, maker and seller of Chinese-style soy-based vegetarian food substitutes (mock chicken, etc.). I suspect that their products are used by Zen Gardens. They have an outlet, and packaging facility, in Mississauga, located at 355 Brunel Road (905-501-8366). Their soy-based mock meat products are varied, I've seen mock chicken, pork, bacon, turkey, mutton, salmon and tuna. Their chicken is quite tasty and works well in recipes calling for chicken; I'm hoping their mutton is as good. They also sell their Zen Tea line there. As to their hours, Monday to Friday they are open normal business hours (I believe), and, while they are closed Saturdays, in our experience, if you call them during the day and they are working, someone will open the door and allow you to purchase what you'd like.

Another Lindt Outlet Store

A friend of mine told me about the Lindt Outlet store in Scarborough, it's located at 2250 Markham Road, which is just south of Finch Ave. on Markham Road. The closer one to me, in Mississauga, you can read about here.

Master Delight

The trail goes as follows. We were invited over to visit a co-worker the other week, coincidentally the final of the Football Euro Cup, okay several weeks ago, there we were served these mixed nuts that my beautiful Bride enjoyed. Following this, we found the mixed nuts package for sale in this Middle Eastern supermarket and a convenience store. From that, we found their phone number, and as it turned out, in talking to them, that this package of mixed nuts were their "seconds", they sold the better nuts in their outlet store. Going to their outlet, located near Dixie and Derry Roads in Mississauga, at 7033 Telford Way, we found many more nuts for sale, several kinds of roasted salted pistachios, hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds, peanuts, lots more; we chose to have the mixed nuts for $5.99 special. The nuts were great, and better than the mixed nuts bag. Go to the end of the strip mall that parallels Derry Road, it is at the end. They also sell other Middle Eastern goods.

Lindt Factory Outlet

I was told by one lady at work, that Lindt has a factory in Brampton, and that there was a factory outlet at the factory, so I had to go check it out. Here's the details. Located at 7090 Kennedy Road, north of Derry Road, it is open Monday to Fridays 9am to 7pm, Saturdays 9am to 6pm and Sundays 11am to 5pm. There are usually deals for chocolate that is almost expired, for example we picked up some Lindt Excellence bars for $1.22, while normally they are over $3. They also have fresh chocolate truffles of various intriguing flavours and combinations. I purchased a couple of new bars that I had never seen before, one with chocolate and chili, the other chocolate and caramel.
